Sweet Lambda Tau

Lambda Tau Chapter of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority, Incorporated, was chartered on

September 30, 1977 by 12 sophisticated ladies, making it the first undergraduate chapter to be chartered in the state of Connecticut.

Since its establishment, Lambda Tau holds the standards of Alpha Kappa Alpha Sorority in the highest regard and therefore heeds the direction of the National Headquarters in all respects and strives to successfully carry out the purpose and platforms of the Sorority. Lambda Tau, the city-wide chapter of Hartford, CT, encompasses the following colleges and universities: Central Connecticut State University, Eastern Connecticut State University, Trinity College, University of Connecticut, University of Hartford, and Wesleyan University.
